New York’s Local Law 97 mandates dramatic emissions reductions from the city’s largest polluters — its buildings. Dan Mastin, the energy and commissioning program manager at New York-Presbyterian, will discuss the challenges that hospitals and other large facilities face in trying to slash their carbon emissions in the near-, mid-, and long-term. How can highly efficient CHP systems, including those powered by renewable fuels, play a role? What about carbon capture technology? This session will explore what comes next as the city implements LL97 and its implications for the CHP industry.
