On June 17, 2025, the Northeast Chapter of CHPA and the U.S. DOE’s New York-New Jersey Onsite Energy Technical Assistance Partnership hosted a webinar exploring how high-efficiency CHP systems can support the rapidly growing data center industry. A panel of expert speakers discussed the financial, resiliency, and sustainability benefits of CHP. They also addressed practical opportunities to deploy this technology—for example, by co-locating data centers with high-tech greenhouses that can make use of otherwise wasted heat. With data center power demand expected to grow approximately 16% annually, this was a timely and important conversation.

Featured speakers included:

  • Alex Marshall—Group Business Development and Marketing Director, Clarke Energy (View slides)
  • Moe Barry—Sales Manager, Kinsley Energy Systems (View slides)
  • Jim Freihaut— Director, U.S. DOE Mid-Atlantic and NY/NJ Onsite Energy Technical Assistance Partnership (View slides)
