On May 11, 17 manufacturers, trade associations, large energy consumers, and service providers with a significant presence and investment interests in Pennsylvania sent a letter urging the PA PUC to support the successful Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EE&C) programs established under Act 129 and oppose any attempts to weaken or suspend these programs. The letter comes on the heels of the Industrial Energy Consumers of Pennsylvania (IECPA) filing a petition with the Commission on April 23 to suspend the implementation of the Act 129 Phase IV requirements for 270 days.
Many CHP Alliance members signed onto the letter, including: AB Energy US, Capstone Turbine Corporation, Integrated CHP Systems Corp., Solar Turbines Inc., and several chapters of SMACNA.
