Alliance Thanks Senator Inhofe & Senator Carper for Including WHP in Energy Policy Modernization Act Amendment

The Alliance for Industrial Efficiency sent a thank you letter to Senator Inhofe (R-OK) and Senator Carper (D-DE) for introducing a bi-partisan amendment to the Energy Policy Modernization Act. Their amendment, which was successfully passed on voice vote, expands opportunities for clean and efficient distributed generation, including waste heat to power (WHP). By explicitly stating that waste heat is a qualified resource, Senate Amendment 3145 allows the federal government to include this recycled energy in its federal purchase requirements, helping to lower emissions and save taxpayers’ money.
