Alliance Signs on to Joint Coalition Letter in Support of Senator Franken’s Amendment

The Alliance for Industrial Efficiency, along with 21 other energy efficiency advocates, sent a joint coalition letter to Senator McConnell and Senator Reid voicing our support for the American Energy Efficiency Act (Amendment 3115) as a part of the Energy Policy Modernization Act of 2015 (S.2012). This amendment, introduced by Senator Franken, would establish a national energy efficiency resource standard (EERS) to be administered individually by each state. An EERS establishes energy saving targets that electric and natural gas utilities must meet, with the target slowly rising over time.
