The Alliance for Industrial Efficiency sent a letter to Ohio Governor Kasich and key members of the state legislature in opposition to proposals in Senate Bill 320 and House Bill 554 that would expand the industrial opt-out to include all “mercantile” customers and extend the freeze of Ohio’s energy efficiency resource standard. These proposals would impede investments in clean and efficient technologies in the state, harming Ohio’s manufacturers. The Alliance is grateful for Governor’s Kasich’s leadership in the area of industrial efficiency and we urge a veto of these bills, in the event that they are approved.
