September 1, 2023 (Washington, D.C.) — The Northeast Chapter of the Combined Heat and Power Alliance submitted comments to the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) regarding their March 2023 Stakeholder discussions and July 2023 technical sessions on the Clean Heat Standard Program. The Chapter and its member organizations fully support the innovative and extensive goals and objectives that are the foundation of the “Massachusetts Clean Energy and Climate Plan for 2050.” We strongly believes that CHP technology will play a critical role in facilitating the state’s energy transition, specifically as it relates to the proposed Clean Heat Standard.
