May 2, 2023 — The Combined Heat and Power Alliance along with a diverse coalition of 60+ organizations, led by Third Way, sent a letter to leadership of the House and Senate Energy and Water Development Subcommittees advocating for continued investments in energy innovation as part of FY24 appropriations. National environmental groups, electric utilities, businesses, unions, and many others all agree that investments in energy innovation are investments in our future.
As the letter states, “Ambitious annual appropriations can help bridge RDD&D gaps, balance our nation’s clean energy innovation portfolio, and ensure America leads on the invention and production of emerging clean energy technologies that can be deployed both at home and abroad. By continuing to prioritize the innovation and deployment of new clean energy technologies, we can ensure that the US is not just competitive, but a global leader.”
