On March 30, the Combined Heat and Power Alliance joined coalition letters sent to the leadership of both the House and Senate Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittees, urging support for funding of critical energy efficiency programs administered by the Department of Energy. We want to ensure that these programs have the resources necessary to continue contributing to improved energy efficiency in our nation’s buildings and infrastructure and increased economic and energy productivity.
In particular, the CHP Alliance supports funding for the Advanced Manufacturing Office (AMO), which oversees the Combined Heat and Power Technical Assistance Partnerships. We encourage at least $395 million for AMO to enable the research, development, demonstration and deployment of industrial energy efficiency and advanced manufacturing technologies.
