Today, the Alliance submitted comments to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) on the draft Combined Heat and Power (CHP) protocol of the Uniform Methods Project (UMP). By including a CHP protocol in the Uniform Methods Project, DOE is sending an important signal to stakeholders about the use of this technology and providing needed guidance to states and utilities to help them measure energy savings.
