The Alliance applauds Representatives Allyson Schwartz (D-PA), Chris Gibson (R-NY), Joseph Crowley (D-NY), Peter King (R-NY), and Richard Neal (D-MA) for their bipartisan leadership in introducing the Power Efficiency and Resiliency (POWER) Act. Their proposal makes key changes to the existing investment tax credit for combined heat and power to make it more effective and adds waste heat to power (WHP) to the list of qualifying technologies. This bipartisan proposal will help remove barriers to the deployment of these important technologies, enabling more businesses and communities across America to reduce energy consumption, save money, create jobs, and protect against blackouts.
