Friday, December 20 — The Combined Heat and Power Alliance filed a letter with Governor Moore of Maryland regarding the state’s Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS). Maryland’s BEPS currently only rely on onsite emissions, which poses a disadvantage to CHP systems. The CHPA urged Maryland to revise the BEPS to adopt a comprehensive review of both onsite and offsite energy generation to ensure that CHP systems are not penalized.
