Wednesday, June 12 — The Northeast Chapter of the Combined Heat and Power Alliance, along with over 15+ other organizations filed comments with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities endorsing the recommended FY25 funding for its Clean Energy Program, which includes ample funding to CHP and microgrid technologies.
Funding CHP is crucial to advance clean energy and decarbonization goals. As the comments note, “CHP is reducing carbon emissions today — not 5 or 10 years out — given that is still a cleaner resource for heat and power rather than separate generation by traditional central power plants and on-site boilers.”
