The Alliance sent a letter to Secretary Shaun Donovan of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Chair of the Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force commending the Task Force’s recent report, Hurricane Sandy: Rebuilding Strategy, which highlights the role that CHP played in reducing the impact of Hurricane Sandy, its ability to enhance electric reliability and resilience to extreme weather events going forward, and for including provisions to expand the use of this technology in disaster-prone regions. The Alliance further commends Secretary Donovan for his leadership in this effort.
