On Thursday, October 22 the Combined Heat and Power Alliance, along with 18 other manufacturers, trade associations, utilities, distributors and service providers, sent a letter to the Maryland Public Service Commission supporting the EmPOWER Maryland energy efficiency programs, in which CHP systems are eligible. The group urges the Commission to approved the 2021-2023 EmPOWER plans and to preserve funding for new and proposed energy-saving initiatives in the state.
These programs generate ~$1.22 for every $1 invested, and investing in more efficiency in Maryland now will result in more jobs and more realized savings, which is especially impactful given the COVID-19 circumstances.
