The Alliance for Industrial Efficiency sent a letter to U.S. Senators Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) and Lamar Alexander (R-TN) applauding the leadership they have shown by introducing the Smart Manufacturing Leadership Act. The legislation would direct the Department of Energy to develop a national smart manufacturing plan and to provide assistance to small- and medium-sized manufacturers in implementing smart manufacturing programs.
