Last week, the Alliance for Industrial Efficiency, along with the Alliance to Save Energy and 30 businesses, trade associations, environmental organizations, and energy efficiency advocates submitted a letter to U.S. House and Senate leadership that describes the benefits of embedding energy efficiency in infrastructure investments. The letter urges Congress to ensure that any infrastructure proposals they consider include energy efficiency provisions that will maximize the investments made by taxpayers, reduce long-term operations and maintenance costs, and improve overall U.S. energy productivity.
