The U.S. EPA published the final Clean Power Plan rule today in the Federal Register. “The Alliance for Industrial Efficiency is pleased that the EPA heard our industry’s comments and is encouraging industrial efficiency as a compliance option” said Jennifer Kefer, Executive Director of the Alliance. The Alliance believes that the Clean Power Plan represents an opportunity to make American manufacturers more competitive, support new jobs, improve grid reliability, and cut electricity costs for all ratepayers. We encourage state agencies and governors to consider  combined heat and power and waste heat to power when crafting their state compliance plans.
