The Alliance for Industrial Efficiency co-hosted a webinar, along with the Business Council for Sustainable Energy, the American Gas Association, and CHP project developer ENERG-Rudox, that looked at the state of the natural gas markets and combined heat and power.
2014 saw an increase in CHP build by 25% due to greater industrial demand. At the same time, we are witnessing record levels of natural gas demand — and low prices. Our expert panelists explored data from the 2016 BCSE Sustainable Energy Factbook on the state of the market for natural gas and combined heat and power (CHP), and provide their perspectives on prospects for continued growth. Speakers included Tim Hade, VP of Integrated Energy Solutions at ENER-G Rudox; Lisa Jacobson, President of the Business Council for Sustainable Energy; Jennifer Kefer, VP at David Gardiner & Associates & Executive Director of the Alliance for Industrial Efficiency; and Richard Meyer, Manager, Energy Analysis & Standards at the American Gas Association.
